6 days

Chuck and I went to Mobile for the beginning of the week.  I had to get my car fixed and we had to play with the cousins one last time before heading to Texas.

The big move is feeling so official now!  I actually have 6 days ( of alone time/no chuck) to get things done before the moving truck pulls up!  Wowser.  I have a lot on my to do list.

Chuck LOVES going to BobBob and Granna's house.

He loves his BobBob and his cousins!

I am currently sitting on the couch waiting for the little fire cracker to wake up.  How is it that the weekend he wakes up at 5:30.  But for some reason, today is a school day and he is still sleeping at 7:30.  Sleeping in for us is 6:15!

Drew graduates in just 3 days!

Strummin'

Chuck is still obsessed with music and musical instruments.  Last night he found the big boy guitar.  I can't wait until he is old enough to truly follow directions so he can take guitar lessons.

Closets

I thought I would take this opportunity to brag about my large closet in the new house.  So large in fact that I may let Little Bit Weber sleep in there the first couple of weeks/months.  My closet also boasts its own linen closet.  So I will actually have a closet that has a closet.  Drool ladies, drool.

Countdown

I haven't really been stressed about the whole "move".  I have been more stressed about selling this house, keeping it clean while still letting the crazy two year old enjoy his little two year old self, packing up my classroom, etc.  The whole moving to a different city in a new house hasn't hit me yet.  I think I am OK with it all because the moving company is actually going to pack us up, move us, and unpack us.  I am supposed to stay out of the way, which sounds wonderful.

We passed the "reinspection" so it looks like things are progressing with the sale of the house.  It has been so wonderful not to worry about it anymore!  My biggest stressor this week was finding a washer/dryer and fridge that could be delivered in two weeks.  Did you know for some of the fridges I was going to have to wait until mid July?  - ya, I don't think so.  Today my mission is to clean out the junk drawers ( yes - that is plural).  We might be the people with the most junk drawers.  We each have one in our bedside table.  Chuck has one in his bedside table.  We have two in the kitchen and two in the den.  Although we have so many junk drawers we know exactly what is in each one.  I feel stupid having movers pack up and unpack my junk drawer.  I guess it is kind of like cleaning up your house before the maid comes.  Just seems like the right thing to do.

Can you believe that in a week and two days Dr. graduates and will be totally finished with school! ( Let's hope he doesn't ever decide to change his specialty and go back for a different residency).  He will be the real deal.

In exactly two weeks from today, the moving truck will pull up in front of the house and it will be on!  Bring it.

Yesterday we visited the doctor.  Little Bit is 3cm long.  If you looked at my stomach you would think Little Bit would be more like 3 feet long.  The heart rate was up at 170 and boy was Little Bit moving!  Dr. seems to think that our surprise is a boy by the way the tech reacted in the ultrasound room.  I keep going back and forth.  You can place you bets now on the gender.  Our next appointment will be with our Tyler doctor on July 11th.  Dr. starts work on July 12th!

Also, since this baby is due January 2nd. You better believe it is going to arrive before the tax season ends so Christmas is at my house this year but don't expect food unless you want to cook it.

Over and Out

Moving On

I'm not even sure where to begin!

We closed on our house in Tyler a couple of week ago!  Chuck just loves the house and it is so safe for him.  My mother and father came with us and Marmee met us too.  We got Chuck's room all set up.  He will be in a big boy bed when we move to the new house so all his furniture is new or is not being used in our current house.

Last time I wrote, we were working through an offer on our house in MS.  Well those people withdrew their offer after the inspection!  Ugh.  Thinking there must be something wrong with our house, we got our own inspection and found nothing wrong.  In fact, everything that was found is small and we are fixing it all.  Turns out they withdrew their offer because of some fungus under the house.  Apparently the professionals said they will not treat the fungus because it is what you see under every house and we are putting in a vapor barrier so that is going to kill it.  Sometimes I feel like there are a bunch of idiots in my life.  Oh well, those people lost a very cute house.  Two days after we got our inspection, another couple made an offer.  We have fixed everything and now have a re-inspection tomorrow.  If all goes well, we will have a firm deal and will be looking forward to the moving company showing up on June 21st!  I say "looking forward".... we are happy to move on from this stage in our lives.  It has been tough on Dr. with so much working and crazy hours.  It has been rough on me with working and raising a little munchkin!  We are not excited about leaving all of our neighbors who have become like family and I am also not excited about moving farther away from my family.

Last Thursday was my last day of school!  I am officially a stay at home mom without the kids!  Chuck will be going to a montessori school.  I think he will love it.  He seemed very curious when we took him by while we were in Tyler.  The director at his school now says Chuck is such a montessori kid.  I am not sure what that means but she is so confident that he will thrive in that environment.  I think in the past I mentioned some of Chuck's behavior problems at school.  Now he is with the older children and I am getting rave reviews.  They say he is just so sweet and does anything you ask him to.  He has three more weeks at his school ( that he has been going to since he was 4 months old!) until the big move day will be here! ( That last sentence just made me cry.  I don't think I will miss the school because he is moving to such a neat one but I am kind of freaking out about how Chuck is going to adjust to all the change).

I say I will be a stay at home with out the kids but for Christmas this year, Chuck we be getting a baby brother or sister!  It's funny how things work.  Chuck had been asking me for a baby for three weeks when we got this surprise!  I would love for Chuck to have a baby brother but he would adore a baby sister.  I think Dr. wants Chuck to have a brother but I also know that daddy needs a little girl because we definitely have a mama's boy in the house who most of the time only wants to deal with mama.  A daddy's girl would even things out.

I had so much to say and now have forgotten it all.  It is time for this mama to go to sleep.  Chuck and I had a good weekend but he is pure 2 year old boy.  He wears me out!

10 May 2012

I know, I know.  Where have we been?

Well, we had an offer on the house.  We are going through the inspection stage right now which is just plain excruciating.  I am hoping there is nothing big like them having to totally rebuild the chimney on our house in Tyler.  I will of course let you know how the inspection, and all those dealings turn out.

Speaking of Tyler, we go next weekend to close on our house and purchase school uniforms for Chuck Chuck!  We will officially be headed to Texas between June 21-24!

Chuck Chuck is just growing like a weed.  He finally told me today ( without just repeating me) that he loved me. Sweet boy.  His favorite toys right now are some die-cast cars and of course his musical instruments.  We have been playing in the sprinkler the last few days ( in our clothes). Yesterday, we planted some geraniums so we made sure we watered them today.

Chuck Chuck had a few bad days at school.  Apparently he has been throwing chairs.  They decided that this was happening because he was "bored".  They told me that he is advanced ( I am so proud) and that he needed to go to the next class.  So Chuck Chuck left the newly twos and is now part of the older twos/newly threes.  He LOVES it there because this means he gets to play on the big boy playground in the afternoon.  He is a head shorter than everyone out there but is milking it for all it is worth.

Dr. has been out of town the whole week.  The two of us are headed home this weekend since Dr. doesn't get back until late Saturday and then has to work nights.  Yuck.  Nothing is worse than having to take care of a 2 year old while someone tries to sleep in the next room.  Did I mention he is really into drums lately?

I felt like I had so much to say and now can't think of a thing.

Oh, yes,  Chuck has started telling stories on me.  I can't remember what he was lying about this week but it usually has to do with me and getting me in trouble  I don't know where he comes up with these things.  But, about a month or so ago, Chuck started talking about how "mommy hits kitty".  WHAT?  Where does this kid get this!?!  First of all, I do NOT hit the cats. In fact, I am the only person in this house who cares enough about them to even feed and pet them.  ( Chuck loves them but he shows his love by sitting on them.) Second of all, I hardly see them since they are now outdoor kitties and have  better things to do then stay around a 2 year old that is obsessed with pouring water on them.  "Mommy hits kitty".  Whatever.  Luckily, he only told his father this.  He better not be spreading rumors around school!

Alright, I'm out for the night.  I have some packing to do.... and possibily might get some sleep.

TIme Consuming

I have been away from the blog so long that they have totally changed it on me.  Geez.

I really don't have time to type anything.  I am a single mommy for the next month and a half so I must make the most of my time since we never know when we will have someone that wants to see the house.

I figured I would share a couple of pictures just to get you through to the next post ( whenever that may be.)

This is what keeps me so busy..... I mean besides work, husband( although Drew would argue that I don't pay attention to him..... I would have to agree, just can't seem to fit him in my schedule), and having a house for sale.
