2 Month Check Up

Chuck had his two month visit today! What a big boy! He weighed in at 11 lbs 11oz. They also said he was one foot and 10.5 inches tall. ( I know.... 22.5 inches) That means he has really grown about 3 inches. This all makes me wonder how big he would have been if he had come on his due date. He did a wonderful job at the doctor. He whimpered when he got the shots but other than that he just simply laid on the table. I guess he is not scared of the doctor like his mama. He must take after Dr., a doctor in training. Marmee and Dr. took little man and had a nice visit with the doctor. She said he looked absolutely perfect. We are doing everything right! Chuck gets so much attention when we go out. Everyone seems to think he is a beautiful baby and many think he is a girl. He has eyelashes that are about an inch long ( ok, a little bit of an exaggeration!)

Since he has been home he has slept and nursed. Not fussy and not feverish ( and cross your fingers we don't get a fever!) He has got the cutest little bandaids with Snoopy skateboarding on his chunky thighs. He even let his grandmother and daddy go out to eat after the appointment while he took a quick cat nap.

First Smiles

Chuck has just started smiling and "laughing" this week. Most of it occurs during the diaper change. I'm not sure if we are funny or the draft of cool air is what gets him.

Summer Vacation

is only a week and a half away! We will be doing a lot of strolling and swimming this summer!

We may need to work on steering the stroller since we ran over Samer. I think he may have thrown himself in front of it though.

We got our swimsuit and we are ready for some new experiences this summer. Hopefully we will be able to go swimming once a week.

Hogs

Just trying to figure out which football team we support. Marmee and Poppy had the socks purchased before the Chuckman was ever born. He looks a little unsure about the razorbacks to me. Guess we might have to try an auburn outfit.

Heads up

Just wanted to share some pictures of us playing and working on that head of ours! We sit in the bumbo daily just for a few minutes to work on strengthening our neck. We don't last very long but we are getting there!

Out of Options

Chuckster decided tonight that nowhere in the house was good enough for his nightly slumber. He would not go into his crib ( I can't stand to listen to him cry yet.) Did not want to sleep in either of his swings. He was perfectly happy sleeping on me which would be great but it gets old after a whole day of him sleeping on me. So after many attempts to find a cozy spot to sleep, Chuck decided that the optimal place would be the bathroom. So yes, Chuck is asleep in the bathroom until his next feeding. All the lights are on, I have no idea how he finds it cozy. But he is out, so we will let him have his way and let him sleep in the bathroom. It's not child abuse, it was his decision.
