cheerleading

i thought this was one of the sweetest things I had ever seen. laney went to cheerleading camp today at her new school. ( the cutie in the pink shorts and pink glasses). just can't get enough of her cuteness. just precious.

the attic

on dr.'s days off, he has been working on insulating the attic. it is usually about 115 during the day and we were worried about his guitars. his "studio" is up there but is too hot to enjoy. so now our attic is insulated. it has gotten down to about 87 degrees. he has got everything perfect but now is trying to get me to move my stuff out of the attic...... i am confused.... isn't that what an attic is for? he says the christmas penguin nutcrackers do not go with his decor! anyway, if dr. is up in the "studio" molly insists on being up there with him!

back to school

the beginning of the school year has been really great! it is so weird to start out this school year compared to last year. last year i had to know what i was doing every minute of the day. this week i was just winging it and remained totally relaxed. there is a difference between never doing anything and not knowing the outcome and now the second time around I know exactly what i need to do and what it will look like finished. i have been out of the school by 4:30 everyday and that is because we have been decorating our hall for fun! ( pictures will come later).

anyway, here are a few of the self portraits my students did. mama, daddy, dr. and i all had fun laughing hysterically at the ones last year. this year, the portraits are relatively normal.

This is my smartest little girl. Her mom is the head of the UMC medical mall ( a mall with a bunch of doctor offices all in one place. Trendiest and cutest mom I have ever seen.
