Strummin'

Chuck is still obsessed with music and musical instruments.  Last night he found the big boy guitar.  I can't wait until he is old enough to truly follow directions so he can take guitar lessons.

Closets

I thought I would take this opportunity to brag about my large closet in the new house.  So large in fact that I may let Little Bit Weber sleep in there the first couple of weeks/months.  My closet also boasts its own linen closet.  So I will actually have a closet that has a closet.  Drool ladies, drool.

Countdown

I haven't really been stressed about the whole "move".  I have been more stressed about selling this house, keeping it clean while still letting the crazy two year old enjoy his little two year old self, packing up my classroom, etc.  The whole moving to a different city in a new house hasn't hit me yet.  I think I am OK with it all because the moving company is actually going to pack us up, move us, and unpack us.  I am supposed to stay out of the way, which sounds wonderful.

We passed the "reinspection" so it looks like things are progressing with the sale of the house.  It has been so wonderful not to worry about it anymore!  My biggest stressor this week was finding a washer/dryer and fridge that could be delivered in two weeks.  Did you know for some of the fridges I was going to have to wait until mid July?  - ya, I don't think so.  Today my mission is to clean out the junk drawers ( yes - that is plural).  We might be the people with the most junk drawers.  We each have one in our bedside table.  Chuck has one in his bedside table.  We have two in the kitchen and two in the den.  Although we have so many junk drawers we know exactly what is in each one.  I feel stupid having movers pack up and unpack my junk drawer.  I guess it is kind of like cleaning up your house before the maid comes.  Just seems like the right thing to do.

Can you believe that in a week and two days Dr. graduates and will be totally finished with school! ( Let's hope he doesn't ever decide to change his specialty and go back for a different residency).  He will be the real deal.

In exactly two weeks from today, the moving truck will pull up in front of the house and it will be on!  Bring it.

Yesterday we visited the doctor.  Little Bit is 3cm long.  If you looked at my stomach you would think Little Bit would be more like 3 feet long.  The heart rate was up at 170 and boy was Little Bit moving!  Dr. seems to think that our surprise is a boy by the way the tech reacted in the ultrasound room.  I keep going back and forth.  You can place you bets now on the gender.  Our next appointment will be with our Tyler doctor on July 11th.  Dr. starts work on July 12th!

Also, since this baby is due January 2nd. You better believe it is going to arrive before the tax season ends so Christmas is at my house this year but don't expect food unless you want to cook it.

Over and Out

Moving On

I'm not even sure where to begin!

We closed on our house in Tyler a couple of week ago!  Chuck just loves the house and it is so safe for him.  My mother and father came with us and Marmee met us too.  We got Chuck's room all set up.  He will be in a big boy bed when we move to the new house so all his furniture is new or is not being used in our current house.

Last time I wrote, we were working through an offer on our house in MS.  Well those people withdrew their offer after the inspection!  Ugh.  Thinking there must be something wrong with our house, we got our own inspection and found nothing wrong.  In fact, everything that was found is small and we are fixing it all.  Turns out they withdrew their offer because of some fungus under the house.  Apparently the professionals said they will not treat the fungus because it is what you see under every house and we are putting in a vapor barrier so that is going to kill it.  Sometimes I feel like there are a bunch of idiots in my life.  Oh well, those people lost a very cute house.  Two days after we got our inspection, another couple made an offer.  We have fixed everything and now have a re-inspection tomorrow.  If all goes well, we will have a firm deal and will be looking forward to the moving company showing up on June 21st!  I say "looking forward".... we are happy to move on from this stage in our lives.  It has been tough on Dr. with so much working and crazy hours.  It has been rough on me with working and raising a little munchkin!  We are not excited about leaving all of our neighbors who have become like family and I am also not excited about moving farther away from my family.

Last Thursday was my last day of school!  I am officially a stay at home mom without the kids!  Chuck will be going to a montessori school.  I think he will love it.  He seemed very curious when we took him by while we were in Tyler.  The director at his school now says Chuck is such a montessori kid.  I am not sure what that means but she is so confident that he will thrive in that environment.  I think in the past I mentioned some of Chuck's behavior problems at school.  Now he is with the older children and I am getting rave reviews.  They say he is just so sweet and does anything you ask him to.  He has three more weeks at his school ( that he has been going to since he was 4 months old!) until the big move day will be here! ( That last sentence just made me cry.  I don't think I will miss the school because he is moving to such a neat one but I am kind of freaking out about how Chuck is going to adjust to all the change).

I say I will be a stay at home with out the kids but for Christmas this year, Chuck we be getting a baby brother or sister!  It's funny how things work.  Chuck had been asking me for a baby for three weeks when we got this surprise!  I would love for Chuck to have a baby brother but he would adore a baby sister.  I think Dr. wants Chuck to have a brother but I also know that daddy needs a little girl because we definitely have a mama's boy in the house who most of the time only wants to deal with mama.  A daddy's girl would even things out.

I had so much to say and now have forgotten it all.  It is time for this mama to go to sleep.  Chuck and I had a good weekend but he is pure 2 year old boy.  He wears me out!
