Driver

Smith helps pick up Chuck from school everyday. He hates his carseat so he has to sit in my lap until we get to the front of the line!

Planting party

Tomorrow morning the boys and I are headed to school for a planting party. It is at 9 and only for an hour or so. Everyone can bring a plant and shovels. We are bringing a bush for the garden. We will also work on raking the mulch on the playground. I figure it will be a good time to take Chuck to the playground. There will
Also be light breakfast served.

Tomorrow afternoon I will try and take the boys on a walk during nap time so they both will sleep. On Sunday, I am hoping that my friend will bring her little 3 year old over to play.

Chuck wore his cape to the store to buy a bush today. He got a cape from Santa with his name monogrammed on it but he prefers his $2 cape from target.

He wears the thing ALL THE TIME!

It's like a blanket that never gets washed.

Our lives

Let's see......

To catch up on some things:

Smith is not starving-

We have strawberries- (objects in picture are smaller than they appear.)-

Smith got a wombie today. The kid can break out of a swaddle and I'm pretty sure duct tape would be considered child abuse so this is the next option-

Chuck and dad built a birdhouse for our veggie garden-

Chuck decorated Easter cookies a few days late-

Also, finches have taken over our yard this week. Apparently the cats like it and make sure we know by bringing us gifts and leaving them on the doorstep. Finches may be extinct soon.

Partay!

So much for catching up on the blog!

I am the room mom for Chuck's class at school.  We are trying to get participation up at school.  It seems a lot of parents are not involved.  I think mostly because the younger parents see it more as a daycare instead of a Montessori school.  At one room mom meeting, we decided that we should try and get each class together.  Well, tomorrow is the day. Room 303 get together.

Chuck's 13 friends and their parents and siblings will be arriving at our house tomorrow at 5!  You would think that someone wouldn't be able to come.  To my surprise everyone is coming.  Geez!  We can't get more than 6 parents at a PTA meeting.  It is true..... if there is food, they will come!

Today it was a gorgeous and warm day.  The yard is perfectly dry and ready for little feet to be running everywhere.  Unfortunately, tomorrow morning it is supposed to drop 20 degrees and rain like crazy.  Ugh.  I'm not sure where 50 people are going to go if it is going to rain.  Eek!

The possibility of rain has decreased a little over the day and also moved earlier so maybe at least we can get people out on the patio if it is not too cold.  Every once in a while they get it wrong.  I'm hoping that the meteorologist has a really bad day tomorrow.  That would mean my day would be awesome.  I mean it has been 70 and will be 80 this weekend and the one day i have a party it drops to 50 degrees.

I have seriously thought about putting toys all in the garage and I totally would if we didn't have all of Drew's tools and unsafe things in there!

Wish us (our furniture, chuck's toys) luck!  We may need it!

Stronger

Smith has gotten some strength in his neck and back so can do more things. We have been working on sitting up and keeping our neck still when we try and stand. He still won't do anything for more than 5 minutes and still wants to be held.

Smitty

I know I need to play catch up on the blog so I'm starting today and going backwards.

Smith is finally working out a schedule. He seems to be eating at the 7,10,1 and 4 hours. He also over the past couple days has taken 4 naps each day (short and sweet naps might I add). He sleeps at 8:30am (30 minutes) at 11:00 (30 min - 1 hr). Then 1:30 (2 hour nap) and a small 30 minute nap at 5ish. He gets up for a bottle and goes night night at 7. He wakes in the night at 1and then again at 4. However sometimes he sleeps through the 1am and wakes at 3 (only once a night) and finally up at 7am. So he sleeps 7 to 7 with 1 or 2 wake ups.

The schedule that he has made all makes sense now looking back at the times he was grumpy, etc.

He did wake up at 6:30 both mornings this weekend. What else is there to do besides take pictures.
