Chompers
Soooo I am pretty sure that little bambino is getting some chompers. He slept a total of 45 minutes yesterday and really got upset this morning when it was supposed to be nap time. After an hour of screaming he finally gave up and fell asleep in my lap. he still gave me some belly laughs and some sweet smiles today. He also loves his big brother so much. Chuck can make him smile no matter what. Smith's favorite part of the day is watching Chuck take a bath and playing in the tub. Chuck also likes to make "silly faces" at his brother. Smith thinks it is hilarious.
Clifford visited the kids at school today because next week is the book fair. Chuck was so excited. I got a call from a mom and she said how sweet Chuck was and how excited he was to meet Clifford. She said he was very kind and had a very intelligent conversation with him. After school, we came home and read several Clifford books out of my classroom library. Chuck received a gift certificate at a bookstore for his birthday so I told him we could go look at books this weekend. Clifford will be back next Friday for his 50th birthday party.
Dad has gone to Dallas for a class this weekend. He has the 2nd part of his boards the first weekend of May so this is a review class. With all these tests and classes, he is on his 2nd weekend of a total of 7 weekends away either working, class9ing), or testing.
Chuck has a three day weekend this weekend so he will go with me on Monday to take Smith for his 4 month shots. Doesn't every little guy need the support of his big brother! Smith will be 4 months tomorrow ( Saturday). Time goes by a lot faster the second time around.
I have also been contemplating a trip south. I am still looking at schedules but I am looking into taking the boys to Alabama at the end of May and early June. Chuck has been asking to go to the beach and to play at BobBob's house and to take a bath in BobBob and Granna's tub ( I have no idea about the whole bath thing.....).
Anyways, the sun should be out this weekend so hopefully we can find a lot of things to entertain ourselves with!
NO pictures today because they would just be pictures of a very tired, screaming baby.

That vent sure did make me feel better. We were able to get out and get a little bit of food (I mean how much can you fit in a cart when you have a car seat in there!). We also found Chuck some new tennis shoes.
Now if we could get this one to give us a good nap!

Split Personalities?
It's amazing how that cute kid blowing the dandelions yesterday can go to sleep and wake up a monster.
We were very late to school today. Someone was about 1 second away from spending the day locked in his room. Smart boy figured out life would be much better at school.
Smith is taking 5 thirty minute naps each day. Makes productivity quickly fade. Trying to figure out between feeding and napping how to get out of the house, that's a tricky one. Also, the refusal to be put down, to ride in a car seat, or ride in a stroller, quickly drives one to want to drink.
We are on our 6th day out of 10 (yes, I'm counting) with no dad. I'm slowly going bonkers ( icing on the cake is that our maid is on the verge of having a baby so didn't show today). We are also starting to go hungry since Smith and I can't make it out of the house.
I started an exercise routine on Monday. I was prepared to go buy new shoes today and exercise without baby. With a baby screaming the whole time during a 30 minute jog, it just makes being fat so much better. I'd rather be fat then skinny and (extra) crazy.
Oh wait, looks like its time for our nap (again).

They're back!
I decided I'd walk the boys to the lake in attempt to stay away from the depressing news coming out of Boston today.
Chuck picked up a net at Target for a dollar the other day. He also got a terrarium /aquarium for bug, frog, and fish catching. I figured it was better than using my Tupperware!
I strapped Smith on the front of me and went on our adventure!
I now have 2 frogs on my kitchen counter. Thank goodness daddy gets home tonight! This is going to be one long frog season!

Rockin' and Rollin'
Smith rolled over today (the easy tummy to back roll). We have not been doing tummy time at all so for him to get it and catch on that quick was quite impressive I thought.
It's also pony tail season as Smith is grabbing and pulling clumps of hair out of my head every moment he gets.
