What a day!

Dr. was on call a-gain. We all can not wait until October is OVER. What a shoddy month. Dr. has had 4 days off and has been on call every 4th night which is not good for anyone.

Our little Buddha woke up on the absolute wrong side of the crib. He woke up three times during the night, then finally at 5:00. Oh, and what a day we have had. Some how when most other children were having their witching hour around 4 o'clock today, this little guy decided he would cheer up.... for ten minutes anyway. Maybe tomorrow will be better. Maybe he just misses his daddy. Now little man has gone to bed and this mama is finally going to get her day started.

Also, keep a look out for these things..... We are in need of a quilt to use as a picnic blanket or something to roll around on outside... a baby blanket just won't fit my fat badonkadonk and a chubby kid. So if you have some kind of quilt that you were getting rid of, we will take it. Also, if any one has any "playmats" (click on here for an example) which are rubber tiles that you put together to make a softer floor, we would be happy to borrow or just buy them from you. Our little lad wants to move around but the wood floor is just too hard ( especially when he decides to slam that big ol' head down on the floor) and when on a blanket, he can't get anywhere.

A little video action

I have been putting Chuck down for a nap after daycare and I wake him up at about 6pm. That means we have been getting some play time after the nap until about 7:30. I have then been waking him up around 10 because I know he can make it 8 hours without eating. So I got a full 6 hour night sleep last night. He is officially sleeping through the night from 10-6. I doubt he will ever be able to sleep through the night starting at an earlier time. So as long as I feed him before I go to bed. More playtime and a nap will hopefully mean better sleep for him at night. I always feel like he is too exhausted since he doesn't take naps.

Chuck loves to splash in the tub and probably would all night if I let him. Tonight he took his first bubble bath with his daddy and had a grand ol' time. He got to sit in the tub like a big boy and not in his little chair. He got to eat a few bubbles and get the floor all wet. He had so much fun.

The one thing he would do for the rest of his life is pet the kitty. We call the cats.... "kitty cats" and really pronounce the "k". When I say "kitty cat", he will start looking around frantically looking for the kitties. This video is not too great but if you ware ever wondering what Chuck could be doing, he is probably looking for a cat or petting one.

Chuck is more open to spending time on his tummy. He always wants to get off laps almost like he wants to go walk around. He obviously can't get up on his knees and crawl but he is starting to move and push a little. What a smart little boy.

Dr. will be on call all weekend but maybe Chuckmiester and I can get some good photos or videos.

Up!

It might just be me, but I think my child can talk. For several months now, whenever I pick Chuck up, I always say "up". The past couple of days I swore to Dr. that he said it when I was walking over to pick him up. Today, we were playing on the bed while Dr. was napping on the couch and Chuck started climbing up me. I would bet money that he said "up". You be the judge.... either way, my baby is a genius.

Sleeping through the night?

Chuck did throw us a curve ball yesterday. He took a three hour nap in the morning and then decided he would stay up until 8 o'clock. So our little man sleep from 8 o'clock until 6 when he let us know it was time for Dr. to go to work. I know with him going to bed at 5:30 it is going to be very hard to actually sleep through the entire night but if we could start going to bed later that would be great! I am trying to figure out how to get him to sleep at daycare. At home he won't sleep unless his music box is playing so we may get him a music box for his crib at school.

But, YEA! for mommy getting 8 straight hours of sleep!!!

Fun Saturdays

Dr. was on call Friday night but got home Saturday and couldn't go to sleep. Dr. took us to eat Chinese and sushi. Then we stopped by Babies R Us to get a new toy for Chuck that he can play with while he is sitting up. When he learns to stand, it will turn to a table. Chuck and I played outside while Dr. took a nap later in the day. The two of us fell asleep on the blanket in the front yard... I am sure we might have worried a few neighbors, but it was a nice 30 minute nap for both of us. Here's a few pictures from our day.

Chuck opens his first fortune cookie! It said, "It is time to share your exciting news with distant family"....fortunately, there is NO exciting news to share! Maybe that tooth will pop up soon.

Chuck seems to be a morning person like his mommy. He likes to have fun in mommy and daddy's bed before we start our day
.
Chuck sat in a high chair at a restaurant for the first time! All the servers at the Chinese restaurant loved him. He is such an attention hog. And two people called him a girl yesterday..... not helping my debate on smocking that I am having with Dr. I know he is beautiful but he is all boy!!! My little rascal.
