Science Discovery

Chuck woke up at 4 this morning so I thought our plan to go to the museum was no longer our plan. I was sure we were going to be in meltdown mode before the museum opened. As tired as I was, I decided to try to go because I knew we wouldn't be pleasant enough for an afternoon visit. We made it to the museum and back with only 5 minutes of snoozing. I can't stand to lose a nap to a car ride!

Chuck had a good time. When we left, I told him we can go back anytime he wants to because we got a membership. All he has to do is tell me. We got about a mile from the museum and from the backseat I hear "Mommy, I want go museum". He makes me laugh!

Here are some pics from today and a picture of him learning to eat corn on the cob tonight. I made a mistake of giving him canned corn and he cried and said he wanted "daddy corn". Good thing I had some in the fridge!

Mommy card

So what I didn't know is that there is such thing as a Mommy Card: a calling card for moms. About two weeks ago I went to have coffee with several moms to plan the fall festival at the school. When I sat down, I was bombarded with mommy cards! I didn't realize I needed one!

Also, when we moved in, all of our neighbors dropped by to say "hello" and drop off their cards.

I have caught up with the mommies and now have a mommy card! Check it!

Have I mentioned how much I love my little guy and I love his school!

When we found out we were pregnant I think I kind of wanted a girl. As the weeks go on I don't think I could be more ecstatic about my boys! We are going to have so much crazy and exhausting fun!

Hunting Rolypolies

Today after school we were hunting Rolypolies. All of a sudden Chuck said "Mommy, take picture me." So I did and it turned out great! He's a genius.
He also wanted me to take a picture of him with the new bird feeder that daddy and Chuck got.

Windows

Our garage got windows today. When you see our house you first see the garage. It was so ugly and "there". We decided to pretty it up a little bit. We will get used to the windows first but may consider painting the doors and garage doors.

I actually was at Target this morning when they came and took the door. It kind of startled me when I got home since part of our door was missing! I knew they were going to get it "sometime" this week. Just had kind of forgotten about it!

Potty Training

I'm putting the potty training off as long as possible. I think I'm hoping that he will potty train himself. He was actually doing great right before we moved but now he refuses to sit on the potty. (He being Chuck!). The other day he asked for big boy underwear. I thought this was it... Same thing that happened with the big boy bed. He asked for it and there was little to no adjustment period. I'm prepared sono gave him a pair of big boy underwear. So cute! Then he peed on the couch. So that's over and I'm going to put it off for as long as possible again. He was so proud of his Dino undies though!

Columbus Day

No school today for Chuck. Since daddy is working and won't be home for a couple of days, Chuck and I headed to the zoo. (It is not a good idea to carry a 2 year old/ going on 3 year old around the zoo when nearing the end of pregnancy. The little fellow wouldn't walk.) Chuck was really excited to go. I told him if the sun was out when he woke up then we could go to the zoo. The first thing he did was run and look out the window this morning to inform me we were indeed going to the zoo. It's a little chilly here and thank goodness I bought him a little jacket last week or we would not have been prepared for this cold spell. The zoo definitely wore both of us out!
