Mother Nature be crazy

First off, Mother Nature is definitely doing drugs. However, I would like to thank her for making it unbearably cold during the week and giving us weekends with 70 degree weather.

Today was in the high 70s. Tomorrow it will start raining early morning and the temperature will slowly drop to the 50s.

So after the race this morning we let (grumpy) Big Shorty nap and then headed out to look for party favors for Chuck's bug themed birthday. Then we headed to the playground/park and did what boys do best...get dirty! Chuck and Smith both enjoyed playing in a ditch. Chuck loves sticks and Smith loves rocks.

Then we headed home and played in the backyard and even enjoyed a nice dinner outside! Chuck enjoyed practicing to be a ninja with a new stick he found and Smith enjoyed his new water table and the new found enjoyment of flipping it over.

Mmmmmmm

Running

Our specialty grocery store "Fresh" had their first annual runs this morning. The 5k went in front of our house. We set up our bubble machine and all the runners were clapping and saying thank you. There must have been 2,000 or more runners. After the 5k went by, we walked down and saw the 15k runners go by. I don't think Chuck was impressed by the 15k runners.

Shoes

The Weber boys are growing! The boys both got new shoes. Smith was so excited he brings his shoes to me until I put them on him. He got two new pairs and for some reason he is insisting I put on one if each so the majority of the time he does not match. On this day he actually let me put on matching shoes. He's so proud.

Baby boy still is growing his curls and yes, those eyes are still baby blue.

Chuck had his 3 hour interview at All Saints this week. He was so grown up and excited. We are suppossed to find out March 31st who gets in but, tucked inside his book bag I found a note that said "welcome to the family". So proud of him. We got our official enrollment packet today in the mail.

This weekend our grocery store "Fresh" is having a 1k, 5k, and 15k run. It goes right in front of our house so that is what we will be watching tomorrow morning. Saturday is supposed to be nice but Sunday we are going to get a storm and a cold front. I'm ready for Spring!

And if you wondered: yes, grumpy baby lives on.....

Funday Sunday

Another beautiful day outside! We had a friend over this morning and played outside for awhile. Even had a little snack/picnic.

Since it will be getting chilly in the next couple of days, we headed the the playground this afternoon. After this weekend we need to soak in a bath to get all the dirt and sweat off of us.
