Swelling

Yes, the swelling has finally caught up with me. Thank goodness it has stayed away this long! BY the end of the day, my toes look like sausages. The good thing is ( i mean i think it is good). Is that the swelling goes down within an hour of getting home and sitting down. My weekends are now dedicated to laying on the couch so I am not swollen all of the time. Maybe I can get away with wearing my house shoes to work!

Baby Chuck and I did go to aerobics this morning ( per request of baby's daddy). Dr. said I should go to get the fluids flowing and swelling down. I may look into the water aerobics ( which you are really suppossed to start at 5 months). But the water displaces the swelling for 48 hours. So if I could go every other day that would be great. The thought of finding a bathing suit is somewhat discouraging. And I firmly believe that this baby will be here sooner than later, so the bathing suit will probably get used for a good 4 classes. Y'all are all going to be laughing at me when at week 40, the little Chuckster is still just baking away! In three and a half weeks I will be full term (37 weeks).

I have a doctor's appointment on Monday. I have no idea what will happen at this visit or what will come of it. I am pretty sure I can convince her to not put me on bed rest until spring break (which is two more weeks). I have testing and I don't want to leave while my kids are taking tests. Then I will have a whole week to put my feet up. At the end of spring break I will be full term so maybe we can just go ahead and welcome Chuck into the world so I don't have to sit around for three more weeks waiting on him.

Dr. is sleeping and working the next 5 nights. He is going to be exhausted this week but will have a good five days off afterwards. Unfortunately, he works during my spring break and then gets the week after my spring break off. Once again, the hospital and the schools just can't get their days synchronized.

Chuck and I are chilling on the couch with feet up and the computer on. We are rather exhausted from aerobics and who knew a stroller would take a pregnant women an hour to put together. If it wasn't for the fact that I couldn't find the wheels for the first 30 minutes, it might have been done a lot faster. Plus, the whole bending over idea is now totally out the window. I have ben doing well but as of last week I officially can't bend over without extreme exhaustion and pain.

I was going to clean out the car today but right now I am having trouble keeping my eyes open. That might have to wait until tomorrow. Today I just might stick to folding laundry and finishing some school work ( which is NEVER actualy finished.)

Over and out!

Feelin' the Pressure

Well, well, well,

We had our doctor's appointment today. We raced to the doc's office after work. Our blood pressure was up again. We were at 152/102. Bah humbug.... oops wrong season.... They checked it again at the end of the appointment ( about 15 minutes later) and it had gone down to 139 over 90 something. Which is better, but not good. You want it to be below 140 on top and 80 on bottom. She told me we need to watch it and that Dr. should check it before he went to work tonight. We just checked it at 5:45 and it was 135/80. That is good.... but so close to being bad!!!

So now I have to go every week instead of every two weeks. Have I said bah humbug yet? Dr. is supposed to check my blood pressure daily to make sure it stays decent. When I asked what you do about high blood pressure, she said first we would try bed rest NOOOOOOOOOOOOO... that is my worst fear..... then we would try medication...... then we would deliver. Surely it won't even get the the medication point. I am going to be the biggest slacker in weeks to come so I don't have to do the bed rest thing.

On top of all that, baby's mama is sick. I am just snifflin' up a storm, can't breath at night once I lay down. Am coughing ( which every time I cough I think baby chuck is going to arrive). She recommend me take a Benadryl tonight and get a loooooooooooong gooooooooooood night sleep. I haven't gotten much rest at all in the last 2 weeks..... which could also be some reason for my blood pressure.

I told her I definitely feel pregnant now. This morning I felt like my tum tum could not get any bigger. Not sure if I could waddle or walk any slower. I do think though, that the sickness I have is not helping the pregnancy feeling at all. She said that I am 33 weeks preggers and that I am going to have to deal with it. I guess I am lucky for making it this long without really feling anything at all! Can you believe that we could actually have a baby in 4 weeks. Yep! In 4 weeks, I will be 37 weeks which is considered full term...... ahhhhhhh.... i think my blood pressure just went up!

Well, I am going to see Dr. off to work. We have breathing class tomorrow and on Wednesday, Dr. takes his big inservice test!!! Good Luck baby's daddy!!!!!

Hope everyone's Monday was better than mine!!!

Love you all!

Monday?

Is it seriously already Monday? Don't think I can do it. I think I am ready to have this baby now!!!! I don't like feeling tired. Can someone call the weather and request a snow day for Jackson, MS and surrounding areas? Thanks.

Lots going on~

Wowsers, what an active little one we have today. This baby has to have the largest rear end of any baby... ever. It seems as if he can't get comfortable or he just enjoys feeling his mama squirming. For the past two days he has not stopped moving his rump back and forth. Dr. rarely gets to feel the movement because he stops right when he puts his hand on my stomach but today he gave him a good show. I am not sure what he is up to in there. At least it doesn't hurt but it is the most uncomfortable feeling that never stops.

Dr. says I am starting to seem a little tired. He is totally right. I am exhausted by Wednesday night but make it through the day on Thursday and Fridays because of the adrenaline that hits once I get to school.

I went to aerobics class on Saturday that they are doing for all the faculty. I made it into a class for pregnant people. Just did my own thing in the corner while baby Chuck and I listened to the beat of the music. Maybe that's why Chuck is mad at me today! I just felt like I needed to move because I know any day now, the swelling is going to appear.

Tomorrow Chuck and I have an appointment at 3 o'clock. Dr. is working nights so he will miss this appointment too. Last time, it lasted a big ten minutes. We have our second childbirth class on Tuesday. We thought Dr. was going to miss it which I wasn't really looking forward to since it is on breathing techniques. I mean my coach has to know the techniques to get me through this. Luckily, it seems we have been reading the schedule lately and he WILL get to come to class with me after all!!!...... If they let us come back after our inability to stay focused last time!!

Dr. had a great birthday. Well, as great as you can have when you are feeling pretty bad. He got a lot of yummy food while MK and Doc, and Honey and Grandma were here! He got lots of goodies and more games for his Playstation 3! Dr. also asked for a stroller for his son. Thank you to MK and Doc for buying Chuck his stroller and car seat!!! They should be arriving soon so I will take the cars and get the car seats installed. ( For some reason I trust the firemen to do it instead of me or Dr.) Now we will be able to take Chuck home from the hospital with us!

It was a beautiful day here yesterday. Since Dr. was sleeping, baby Chuck and I did aerobics and then picked up a sandwich and went to the reservoir to eat. It was so nice sitting in the sun watching the sail boats sail by and the dogs playing frisbee. We SO needed that sunshine. ( I would do anything for sun at this point). We then drove down to the dam and watched a fishing rodeo that was going on. The reservoir dams up the Pearl River. So there were about 50 boats in the Pearl River ( which is only about 50 feet across) all trying to fish. I am surprised no one had tumped over or gotten hooked!!! There were also about 100 people standing on either side of the bank. We sat and watched them fish for a few minutes. Before we left, we stopped by the ladies room ( public restroom at the dam) so we would be able to make it home. I walked into the bathroom and, I am not kidding you, the bathroom was SWARMING with ladybugs. There had to be about 250 ladybugs in the bathroom. It was just amazing. I felt like I had walked into some type of dream as I navigated my way through the swarms. Such a nice ending to a beautiful day. I was hoping for another pretty day but I think the cold weather is back again for a few days. I REALLY need spring. Seems like this winter has been too long!

HOpe everyone is having a great Sunday!
