Holy Smokes!

Ok, first things first. Do you remember slap bracelets? They were straight bracelets that you slap against your arm and they would wrap around it. Welcome, slap watches! They are made of the silicone material or the jelly material that is popular. That means they don't pull arm hair and don't scratch baby! I got a smaller one ( a junior size). They also come in a larger size. The neat thing is that the face can pop out of the cover and you can stick it in another watch cover. If you want one, they have them around the corner from my house at the monogram store for $15 and $16. Email me and I will mail you one!

On a t-totally different note..... The Sweet Potato Queens are pouring into Jackson! The events officially kick off tomorrow! Our town is going to be fool of drunk women... everywhere ( i actually meant to write full of but I think I will keep it as fool! This year, the SPQ have taken over Fondren (our neighborhood). There will be festivities all weekend long ( come if you want to!.... we have an air mattress, a couch and a day bed!) On Saturday, there is a children's festival from 10:30 - 3:00. After the festival around dusk, the SPQ will get on their lighted golf carts ( because you can't get more tacky than that!) and parade through the streets of Fondren! It is going to be a fun weekend and a weekend where we probably should not get in our cars and try to venture out!

Speaking of car, at the festival on Saturday, our local car dealer, Patty Peck, will be giving away a hybrid Honda! We decided to buy a ticket because who doesn't want a free car! Tickets were only $25 and it all goes to the Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital! They draw a ticket every Friday so eight people will have won keys to try and start the car ( 8 people out of 3,000 tickets sold). This Saturday, they will let the 8 key holders try and start the car. GUESS WHAT!!!! I have a KEY!!!!!!!!!! WAHOO. I got a phone call today that said my ticket that I bought had been drawn and that I have one of the eight keys. I am one of the people that get to try and start the car..... what kind of car..... a Honda Insight..... a BLUE Honda Insight...... how hilarious and wonderful is this!
